Sataplast is a company focusing on flexible plastic packaging, which started operating in 1963
The company started as a manufacturer of humidifiers in Pori, Finland. As the company expanded, the company moved from Pori to Kokemäki. In 1989 the company ownership shifted to Juha and Lea Tiitola. A significant of the company revenue came through manufacture of shopping bags. The company ended the manufacture of shopping bags in the 2000’s and the company shifted focus to manufacture films, bags and plastic sacks. In the same decade the company ownership was also shifted to the next generation, with Tiina and Jarmo Aspelin taking the reins. In the last 10 years Aspelin has grown swiftly through new investments and business acquisitions. The latest large expansion was in 2017, when Muovijaloste changed to be a daughter company of Sataplast. This day the company is a significant manufacturer of films, bags and sacks. The Pirkkala factory also produces different kinds of wrapping and packaging papers to suit industrial needs.
